Note

Those who find the English expression 'trouble' troublesome should bear in mind that that it comes from the late Latin verb 'turbulare', from the classical Latin adjective 'turbidus'. From this root the French derived 'truble' and the English 'trouble'. The key concept remains that of 'turbidus', i.e. something mixed up, turbulent, unclear, insoluble.
